Tattooing on leather? Please Help.

I need this for my university class. We were required to come up with unique business ideas. Since tattoos are generally frowned upon where I am from, I wanted to create a store to normalize having a tattoo. A store that is somewhat a tattoo parlor but instead of tattooing on the body, designs can be tattooed on products such as bags wallets etc. My question is what materials can take being tattooed aside from leather ? preferably a vegan or sustainable alternative.
